Thumbs up 4.05 Best so far!!

I am running XP.
4.03 ran good with some minor problems. I loaded 4.04 when it came out. 4.04 was an unmitigated disaster. Nothing seemed to work right. It twas so bad that I sent several tickets to support and went back to running 4.03. MTU suggested that some of my problems came from using wmp11, so I rolled back to wmp9. That did fix some of the problems but it was still too quirky to run a show. 4.05 came out and I’m glad to say that it runs great. No show stopping problems. There were still a couple of minor problems, really more of an annoyance than a problem. For me the biggest is the slow singers DB. The other is the 500 mph Marquee on the Preview Display. 4.05 runs great, I have regained confidence in the program. This version has really taken some of the stress out of doing a show.

Current configuration on my show machine is HP laptop
· 1 Gig Memory
· G64 integrated graphic, 64MB video ram.
· XP home, with wmp9, sp3 and .Net Framework 3.0.

I'm running Vista on a Dell XPS. Can not run 4.04 or 4.05. 04 would lockup and .05 has word out of sync problems. I am staying with 4.03 for now. Still is the BEST Hosting program out there.

I know how you feel. I've been waiting to be able to import videos since May so I could redo my songbooks. I also waited until most of the "nightmares" were fixed before upgrading. However, all the new features are well worth it, not counting the price is much better if you upgrade sooner rather than later. The ability to import videos will not be out until 4.1 and probably not until 2009. So.............. I highly recommend upgrading now. 4.03 works perfect for everyone, including me on Vista. 4.05 has been causing very few problems and that's only because people did not get all the Microsoft updates before upgrading. I really think you'll be happy now. Videos play fine also, except the MUX, which will also be fixed very soon.

It will probably be 2009 before all these bugs are worked anyways . I use the Hoster at home and use my 2 voco pro jukeboxs at my shows. I like having all the original footage and other VCD's with my complete Sound Choice package a click away.

You can still save money by upgrading now & be able to use all the new features, while waiting to import Video. I also have VCDs as well as the Original Footage videos and Hoster will play them all by Adding them to the Playlist. On 4.03 the videos come up automatically without vocals so singers can sing with them. If you want to use them for "breaks", then use 3.4 to play the videos with vocals. The next upgrade is supposed to have the MUX fixed so we won't have to do that anymore. For me, 4.05 plays the videos just the opposite, so that's why I'm sticking with 4.03 for now. At least I can take the time to slowly create my Singers Database from previously saved Playlists, while waiting on 4.1.
