4.04 Program slow, songs slow to load

Hoster takes about 45 seconds to load upon startup, individual songs take about 30 seconds to start playing. I get error messages on some songs yet when I put them back up a second time they play. Some songs after being played are grayed out even though the keep songs after being played function is not selected.

XP or Vista?
What type of songs are slow?
What else is running with Hoster?
Songs after being played are greyed out and marked as played. If you reopen Hoster and bring the same playlist in none will show as played until you play them again.
Those that error check to see if it shows the correct format in the playlist (CDCDG, HDZIP, HDMP3G, etc.)

All songs file types take about 30 seconds to load
Upon restart the grayed out songs are gone.

Have you tried reinstalling. It may be a bad install, As you reinstall, when the window appears with a choice, choose uninstall first, it will still leave all your play lists and kma files in place. Then restart your computer and install again. It might be necessary to rebuild data base but not always.

Having said this have you all the windows updates installed. As Dale asked what system are you using XP or Vista ?
How much memory on your system?
