Desktop to Laptop with Hoster
Okay folks...here's one to consider.
I'm going to be using from an external HD to convert all of my CDG+mp3 files, as required, over to KMA files so that everything works (I assume) correctly on Hoster (yes, have latest update). Here's the question. Once I'm done getting all my files converted and setup on my desktop, can I transfer the entire (what, directory?) over to my laptop from presentation, as thats what I'll be using for my shows. I assume I'd have to, what, uninstall the program from the desktop then transfer it to the laptop? Obviously need a couple of instructs to get this done, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Rock on MTU! Software is getting better daily!! Dave |

Hoster allows you to run it on 2 machines. So, you do not have to un-install it from your desktop. So you simply copy the Installation file onto your laptop, and install it from there. If all your Songs have been imported to an external hard drive into kma format, then all you will need to do on your laptop it to "Rebuild". That will create a database on your laptop, so that Hoster can find the songs on your ext. HD.

You can Install Hoster on two computers, One at home and one for the show (you must have computer online to install & register each one). If you put all your KMA's on an external HD, then you can 'Build Song Database' from the tools menu and have just one HD to keep updated, Keep in mind that when you add KMA's on your home computer you have to rebuilt you Database on laptop (or merge database if you add songs to diff. folder. I think I have this correct but a beta tester might have a better answer.
