Question Sound KMA in Hoster 4.01 bad

He made the upgrade to Hoster 4.01.

When running videos no problems, but in doing so with kma sound or CDG files sounds very bad.

With 3.4 Hoster I have no problems

after 10 seconds

After 10 seconds the sound is bad. What happens? What do you mean by bad? Exraneous noise, fuzzy sound, etc.?

I think we're going to need some more informatin on the computer itself before we go shooting in the dark.
What type is it?
What operating system?
Version of Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player?
Have you done the Custom Updates from Microsoft including SP3?
What sound card and what is the date of the drivers?

Computer Compac Pressario
1 GB memory
120 HD
Windows Vista Premium
IE 7.0.6001.18000
WMP 11.0.6001.7000
Service Pack 1 installed
Sound Card Conexant High Definition SmartAudio HD2 drivers date 09-04-08.

In version Demo 4.01 the sound from 0 to 10 seconds is good. Before 10 secs slow the sound with distorsion.

In Registered version play Videos without problems, the sound and sync is good, problems only in KMA and cdgs.

It may be problems of audio compression ... In the version 3.4000 I have no problems.

The last release version 4.01 is not working correctly with Vista. It and 4.00 were release with only the XP functions working. That is why you are having problems with it.
MTU is trying to get 4.02 which will work with Vista out soon.

My version 4.1 also sounds not good, lyrics fall behind the music aswell. I also have a light hum from the headphone port on this laptop. I bought a new sound card to see if it would help, but that new card has its own problems, its making all music sound like it have a flanger effect on it KMA or MP3. and took most of the vocals out of my MP3 songs for D.J. I cant see any effects on. Sound Card Conexant High Definition SmartAudio HD2. My original S.Card. and a USB powered Sound Blaster X-fi surround 5.1 external card is the new one. Whats going on here..

You hinted in another thread that you don't do the Windows updates. That might be the place to start.

what kind of laptop did you get, is it " windows media center " some of the problems you're having may not be related to hoster, soundwise,if your laptop is wmc my back-up is a windows media center, and there are some ext. soundcards, virtual dj softwares that wont work with windows media center, i found that out when i bought mk2, m-audio torqs, serato, and lexicon lambda desktop recording..can't return them caused i open /downloaded the softwares..mk2 and pcdj is what use for djing on my main laptop that is only a windows xp pro..
