Lyrics out of sync

Hi All,

I just got Hoster and imported all my cdg's but the sweeping lyrics are way out of sync on many of them. Has anyone experienced this and, if so, have you been able to solve the problem? Sometimes the highlighted lyrics are as much as a whole line behind the music. Makes for a confused singer.

Thanks for any help!

Yes i have experenced this problem. If you are using VISTA you can not have the theme in Vista set at 'Vista Aero' For some reason this makes the lyrics out of sync. I found this correction by accident. Give it a TRY IF YOU ARE USING vISTA

WOW! Vista is just amazing how such little hidden things just confuse Hoster.

And yet, with all the problems with Vista, I still think HOSTER is the best and easiest KJ program around. No problems at all when I was running XP. New Laptop came with Vista. Patiently waiting for 4.0

THE... reason 4.00 has not yet released is VISTA and sync problems. We have wasted 3 weeks, and so far are still not in sync, and crashing. Release when you say??????????????????????? How about if we drop Vista support.

Vista is a garbage... pure garbage! Regretfully, Microsoft appears to be FORCING all computer vendors to switch to Vista by June 18. In other words, it appears XP will die on that data... and maybe so will Microsoft.

Exclamation Proposal for Hoster 4.0 Alternate Solution

Could it be possible to release only the XP version of Hoster so we all won't have to suffer the wait if XP is working properly.
Thank you for sharing this info. Joe...

Talking Admin

Maybe you good folks at MTU should drop Vista support. I could always install XP on my laptop and run 4.0. I WILL NOT give up my HOSTER, repeat, WILL NOT GIVE IT UP. Oh yeah, did I mention I wont give up HOSTER.

How about Linux? Imagine how easy that would be. Knoppix ISO and Hoster included on a single CD.

I use Vista Ultimate
Have it on two computer
Vista Ultimate 32 is on a Toshiba Qosmio
I get my lyrics out of sync when I use the Dreamscene
Vista Ultimate 64 is on a HP HDX
I don't get lyrcis out of sync but when I use Dreamscene the video drivers simply stop working after about 45 minutes of show and Hoster freezes

Vista

Cool Waiting...and Hoping it will all work soon....

I, too, have Vista and hoping that the new upgrade can be figured out real soon, as at my other night's show, I noticed some of the songs that the customers wanted to sing, were gone! I re-loaded them when I got home, however, I read the forums and the new upgrade should be able to correct this! I also have 3 Sound Choice disc's #8710, 8713 & 8732 that just won't load (even with my last upgrade) and I was hoping that the new 4.0 will fix that, because I put in an order for a single drawer karaoke machine (at our local Karaoke store), and if I don't have to buy that, then that would be real nice....don't need more bulk...and that was the purpose of getting the whole computer in the first place!!!!!

What kind of error are you getting when you try to load those?

I have a Sound Choice 8712 spotlight series. Alot of old Classic Country. It loads, brings up the names & artist of the songs. But nothing happens when I go to play a song from it.
Cd works fine in the karaoke machine. Then I noticed at the very bottom of the CD it says "mediacloq CDG's will not play in a computer!!!"
Well they got that right!!! I had to delete the whole Cd out of my song book....

Exclamation Disc's that won't play

The 3 Sound Choice disc's that I have, just will not load at all! When I put them in the computer drawer they just go around with some funny little
noise. When I hear that noise, then I know that they aren't going to load.
I have double copies of each and neither of them will load. I wonder if anyone else out there has been able to load any of the 3...They are:
SC8710 SC8713 SC8732

SC stopped using MQ a long time ago but there are a number of them still out there. Most of them are gone from store shelves but a lot of them were clearenced out to ebay sellers (from what I hear), I don't know the exact numbers that were MQed, I do know some 8600 and 8700's as well as Star's and Powerpicks from the same era.

SC has advertised that IF they reprinted that disk # they will replace it for a $6.00 shipping charge. If they discontinued it then you are stuck.

Thanks Sam!!

I loaded little over 700 CDG's and that was the only one I had a problem with!!!

Wonder if it did get replaced? Alot of good old country classics on it. Hated to take it out of the book.

Thanks again for your reply!!!

These may be in the same boat as 8712. Look on the labels and see if it says mediacloq on it anywhere. If so they will not import in Hoster because they are protected with an encryption.
