Need a tip!

Hi,
i have a Karaoke gig once a month with about 20 friends.Last night was a blast however one little annoyance kept cropping up.
Everyone searchs and adds their own songs to the list, but as the night goes on more and more people drag their songs from the bottom of the list to the middle or closer to the top.
Is there anyway of switching off this function in Hoster?.

Unfortunately, I believe the answer is no. Hoster is designed to be run by a KJ or host, with everyone searching and adding the songs to the list, they have all the functions of Hoster at their fingertips. So you would need to play rotation cop and check the list ever few minutes to make sure people are not moving their songs, or have a single 'impartial' person adding the songs for everyone. Of course you could take the less civil route and announce that anyone found moving their songs ahead in the list gets a beatdown from the other 19 people...

Maybe someone else will chime in with another alternative.

Group Beatdowns, now there's an Idea!

You're letting the inmates run the asilum. It's fighting human nature, everybody wants to sing next. I'll bet you can find somebody who won't mind being "The Hammer". If it's a bunch of friends it should be easy. You can always take turns.

Sounds like you need to take a trip and find a dry erase board. Set up a rotation and your are good to go.
