Laptop wanted

Looking for a laptop that will run Hoster for $1000.00 or less. Any one know of a new laptop (walmart, best buy, ect...) out there that will work. Of course it has to have the proper video card in it also...

Laptop still needed

The deal fell through and it was sold out from under me... Needless to say I still need a laptop... Anyone have any ideas for a laptop that is under a grand.. I plan to use an external hard drive also with it for all the KMA files... Wanting to find a laptop in the next week or so...

I'm a new member and I already have a laptop that I was planning on installing Hoster onto. Now this thread has me worried about perhaps my laptop and Hoster being incompatible. I have an HP pavilion zx5000 with an Athalon 64 chip at 750 Mhz and 2 gig of ram. Do I also need to know about the CD/DVD drive ?

Thanks for helping a newbie out.

Ron

you might want to play it safe and get a external writer from mtu.

Hoster 3.310 now uses many drives. you can always change the drive in it to one that is reconized by hoster.
or as stated get an external from MTU.
make sure your laptop does extended desktop and has TV out.
750 seems a little slow for todays software ???

Thanks bobcox I'm not going to be doing a KJ thing. I'm just using the files as backing music for a solo performance.. I plan to play the CDG's and just play along on guitar and sing as a one man band.

The 750 is a 64 bit 750 but I'm not sure that XP HOme takes advantage of it. It is actually pretty fast with files.
