![]() Karaoke Pro is for companies who want to commercially make Karaoke songs. It allows adjusting each lyric word to perfect synchronization to the music. Karaoke Home Producer is for home and private use, with the synchronization being done by tapping the Spacebar key at the start of each word.
The items below show the differences between Karaoke Home Producer 2.009 (KHP) and Karaoke Pro (KPro). This thread was originally created for Karaoke Home Producer 1.115, but has been upgraded to 2.009 on September 11, 2001. KHP and KPro both allow the following:

Select the font point size
Select Bold, Italic or Shadow (with shadow color selection)
Select any single-byte TrueType font
Split words into syllables or even characters to adjust the sweep velocity inside the word.
Select 2-6 lines to appear per page, KPro supports up to 8.
Continuously replace the lines as they are swept.
Select any of the 4,096 CDG colors for the lyric text, sweep and shadow colors, and background and border colors.
KHP creates solo songs, KPro creates solo and duet songs.
KHP can create a Title page, Lyrics area and a Credits page, all with the same font, point size and colors. KPro allows separate palette control of the font, point size and colors on each of the three sections.
KHP does not allow editing the lyrics after synchronizing to the music. You can instantly restore the lyrics for placing again. KPro allows editing the lyrics after synchronizing to adjust any word at any time, in any order.
KHP continuously replaces the lines as they are swept. KPro allows replacing the same way, or replacing a page after the last word is swept, and adjusting how long each page displays before the next starts drawing.
KHP does not allow adding color Graphic images. KPro does allows adding graphics in the Title and Credit page (with overlapping text), and in the Lyrics area where there are musical interludes with no lyrics sweeping (singer is silent).
KHP has no audio processing. The .wav file must come from some other source. KPro is build on the world-class Microeditor Digital Audio Workstation. This allows recording, editing, adding effects and mixing multiple track audio for commercial music production.
This should clear up the differences between these two products. |
