downloading hoster onto another computer as a backup

Gentlemen,

I downloaded Hoster onto my new laptop before I realized I did not have any programs in it to edit the songbook.rtf...I proceeded to the MTU store to download the program to my desktop, only it told me the download had expired, although it gives July 11 as the cutoff date...!

You should be able to copy the download file from your other pc to a cdrom, and install it on your laptop. You need to have it and your registration code on a cdrom anyway for back-up purposes.

This is why they tell you to save the install file you download instead of opening it.
If this is the latest version, you can look under "Support Help" on the website and it will point you to a download page for the current program.
Also please post in the correct forum which would be Hoster Help in this case.

Moved this Thread to Hoster Help.

Dale is correct for every program except Hoster.

If you did not make a CDROM backup of your downloaded Installation program, then register and submit a Support Ticket. Make your request there, including your name, current email and email you bought with, and your installed version.

We only provide the latest release version. If you have a version prior to 3.300, you need to buy the upgrade at this link ($39.99). This will give you a new download link to get Version 3.316.

Either order the CDROM from us ($12 including postal costs), or burn the installation file you download to a CDROM yourself. You NEED to have a CDROM backup for exactly this reason.

For your immediate problem, copy the songbook.rtf file to a flash drive, floppy or cd and put it on your desktop computer. Then open the file in Word.
