Song Database Printing Error

Yes. I have had the "Hoster" program for almost a year but have not owned a printer to hookup to my laptop. I have finally connected a printer to my laptop and attempted to print out my songbook directly from "Hoster". After building the song database and selecting "print entire book", I keep receiving an error message. Something like "not suitable for msdos etc.". What should I do? My hardcopy songbooks are way outdated and I am trying to rush out an updated version. Can you help asap???

Song Database Printing Error Problem Continues

Here is the exact error message....

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate applications.

So, then I tried pulling up "microsoft word" and "my computer" to the "E" drive (my external drive). When I click on songs.mdb, it does appear to process but then all of the the writing is like "computer language" and not the actual songlistings....

When you connected the printer, did you install the software for the printer?

Forgive if this is a dumb question, but it has happened before.

Are you getting this error message when you tell Hoster to print the books (create the songbook file) or when you actually attempt to get Word to print the file.

You are printing the SONGS DATABASE, not a Song Book, which would be titled Songbook.rtf.

You must first run the Prepare Song Book command on the menu bar, make your selections in the dialog box, then click the Create button.

You can select WORD as your VIEWER and then launch it to see the created Songbook.rtf file, and edit and print it.

Its not creating a Songbook.rtf. It gives the error message after I select "prepare song book, print entire song book"...If we can not fix this. How would we possibly save database information and then delete/re-install the Hoster software back into the laptop (without losing any of the songs).

This is a Windows Problem. A file or files on your system have been damaged. Here is a FAQ from Microsoft how to fix it http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324767/en

Type the Error into Google and you will get lots of answers.
