Question to avoid a "registration doesn't match"

I read somewhere several days ago Admin said changing a HD could cause Hoster to think it's on a different computer.
My question is does that apply to any internal HD drive or just the one that Windows/Hoster is installed on?

I've got two drives, one for Windows and programs and another strictly for KMA's

I'm almost to the point where I need to install a larger drive for my KMA's on my show PC. I've got a backup PC to use in a pinch but I would prefer to avoid that pinch!

From what I've seen Hoster dosn't care where the KMA live, as long as you point Hoster to the right location. So if you copy your KMA's onto a new drive you shouldn't have any problems. At least I haven't in the past as I had to upgrade my external from a 120gb to a 250gb.

Keep'um moving

There seems to be some confusion about by post.

Admin wrote in another thread:

If you reformat the SAME computer, you can reinstall. If you upgrade windows, change a hard drive , or your motherboard, it is no longer the same computer.
Emphasis added by me

Windows and Hoster and DJ music on drive C.
Kma's on drive D.
Both Internal drives - I do not use external drives.
Drive D is an 80 gig I hope to change out to a 160 gig.
I know Hoster ignores things plugged into USB so that is not a concern.

I do not want Hoster to suddenly think it's on a different computer and stop working.

Mindonstrike,

What do you mean when you say "I know Hoster ignores things plugged into USB so that is not a concern."? I have had my KMA's on a USB drive and use a Plextor USB from my show laptop for years without any problems at all.

Exactly. That's why I'm not concerned.
Hoster security looks at several things on your computer to decide if it's still installed on the correct computer. Items plugged into a USB port does not seem to be one of those things Hoster security looks at.
