2 hosters in one place
I’ve just purchased Hoster software 2.209
I’ve not installed it yet though. I was not aware of some issues and now I have several questions I’d like to find out first… Let me tell you a Little bit about myself: I own a small restaurant-bar here in Delicias, Mexico (200 miles from El Paso, TX). I’ve been offering Karaoke to my local clients for almost 3 years now. After a lot of thinking I decided it would be great to run the show from my existing cashier’s computers. I was planning to install hoster software in both cashiers computer (restaurant and bar) but then realized I can’t. These computers are connected to a simple local net. I don’t have any laptop and I don’t need one since we are not a movil service. 1) How may I install hoster software in both Computers? 2) In case there’s a chance to do it… Do I have to import my discs for each computer separately? 3) One of them is a Pentium III 595 MHz, 256 ram. Do you think it would be a problem? I understand that MTU tries to prevent any illegal use of its software (that’s the reason to allow the user to install it in only one computer). I was thinking that maybe an exception could be made to those who have a local net in their system. You’ll be sure that’s a single use of it. Thanks a lot for all your help. ![]() in order to make hoster work on 2 computers you need to buy 2 license's of hoster.
if you purchased 2.209 you should upgrade to 2.213, it is free!! your computer is not fast enough ! it may work but do yourself a favor and get a P4. make sure you buy the right dual display video card ! |

Re: 2 hosters in one place
As Beavis has stated you will need to have 2 copies of Hoster to run as you wish.
The other problem is that the 595 mhz system is not going to be fast enough to run the program. You will need to have a Faster Computer with Xp or Windows 2000 installed and a Dual Display Video card, such as any ATI Radeon Model (built by ATI not powered by ATI). Then you should be up and running in not time. You really don't want to have the Cashier's doing other things on this computer, while someone is trying to Sing. It will make the audio fall out and you will have all sorts of Problems. I would definetely get a new computer just for the Karaoke, this will be the only way that you can get it to work the way you would like.

Re: 2 hosters in one place
About the Dual Display Video card: where should I look it for? Which model specifically would be the best option?
