![]() Hey, everyone! I've got a problem that I need help with.
I just installed Hoster v.2.209 and after installing I played around with new version PLAY TAB only. Then I closed it out and came back to it a couple of days later and tried to correct a couple of corrupted file from a disc alredy imported. I can't get anything to come up in the TRACKS window. When I select a disc that has already been imported it shows bookid greyed out, but no tracks are listed. I click read tracks button and nothing happens. My drive works fine in Microstudio and other software. It's a Yamaha CRW6416SZ. Never had a bit of trouble with the drive. I tried to use install program to do a repair, (didn't work) then tried to reinstall (didn't work) then tried to uninstall and re-install older version (didn't work). Then I tried to install newest v2.212 (didn't work) When I was reading about downloading and installing newest version I saw that it said not to use CONTROL PANEL to un-install previous version, but I did use CONTROL PANEL when I upgraded to v2.209. Oh, I just installed my new PX -708A via USB and it doesn't work in Hoster Import Tracks Tab but it works in Play tab to import CDG. It works fine in Microstudio v2.508 too. I didn't check my Yamaha to see if it would do this. Now that I have the PX-708A I don't plan to use the Yamaha anymore anyway. Can anybody tell me what the problem might be. i don't think new plextor is supported yet could be wrong but i think it is planned for next update

Install Hoster 2.212
All you need to do is click your download link if you have 2.209 (actually, 2.1xx or higher).

I think my original purchase was v2.014. I have been using upgrade v2.124 for a while now. Since I used my download link to upgrade to v2.209, Import Tab is not working. Are you saying this upgrade is not a free one. Or are you saying I just need to re-install.
Please let me know. Wally

![]() Just went to upgrade to newest version. I downloaded and when I went to upgrade I clicked and older version. After it came up I realized my mistake. I went throught the process again to put in the newest version but this time the Original registration number was not filled in. I tried reinstalling the older version and the same thing. No older registration number. I have a gig tonight but am dead in the water. Looks like I will have to miss tonight and try to get MTU in the morning. Any suggestions?

I guess I just spaced this or expected the new version not to download or install at all if it wasn't going to be complete. Maybe because I did a bad thing by using CP to un-install is why that happened. Thanks again, I'll pay my $50 now and get on with it. Wally

Appreciate the info but that's the problem, I don't know my original number. It changed awhile back when my email changed and it's always been on the up grade since but I failed to write it down. I downloaded several times hoping the number would show up but it didn't. I'll just have to wait till morning and call MTU or post an early note to the forum. Thanks, Kelly |

iF YOU BOUGHT THE 2.124, YOU Are in the upgraded group. just download from your upgrade e-mail. I don't think you need to pay for another upgrade. |

No, it was free upgrade. I realize now what went wrong. I re-installed v2.209 which was a free upgrade from 2.014. It was just my time to pay some more money. I went ahead and purchased the upgrade but won't be processed until tomorrow. Thanks, Wally

Ok then. I thought it was free upgrade and installed it anyway, but didn't try to import anything until I installed v2.212. That's when I realized it wouldn't work. My bad. I'll watch what I'm doing a little closer next time. What I'm really confused about now is this. I purchased my v2.212 upgrade today but haven't gotten my email to install v2.212 yet as mtu says orders taken on weekends will not be processed til Monday. Well, I re-installed v2.209 and it is working now. So, if it's not a free upgrade then why is it working now. Is there some king of magic through internet connection that takes place? Maybe MTU SUPPORT can respond to this one. Wally,

Please resend my update. I accidently removed Hoster and replaced with the wrong version. I removed that and then tried to replace with new update and my original Registration number was not in the blank. (I'll write it down this time! ![]() Tried to redown load several times thinking that would fix and it didn't. Even purchased the new upgrade thinking that would do it and it didn't.
