Question LCD Monitors

Well, I just got my MTU PC today, loaded with Hoster and ready to go. I haven't picked up my monitor yet. I want to go with an LCD 15" flat panel.

Any recommendations on the best bargain for the buck? Something nice and bright? ($300 range)

In the meantime, I'm going to use my CRT to start loading up songs, probably tomorrow. Then, I'll spend every waking moment trying to get everything converted in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

Any pointers for me before I get rolling with this, too?

I tend to get ahead of myself when doing stuff like this.

Due to circumstances completely beyond MTU's control, there are instances where the track listings in the database do not agree with the actual listings on the cdg you have.

CDG manufacturers for some reason have even published listings on websites that differ from the actual listings on the cdg's marketed. The songs are correct, but not in the same order.

Take the time to check the database listing with the actual cd before you hit the import button. That's the time to make any necessary corrections, and save yourself a lot of work after the fact.

You may not encounter any differences, but thought a word of caution would help you. It only takes a few seconds to scan the listing before importing.

Hope this helps over the long haul.

Samsung and tiger direct have some good deals. Shuttle is about to come out with a portable 17" LCD that looks good for the on the go KJ, complete with carrying case. Just some things to check out. Hope this helps, good luck.
