Question on MP3+G's...

I have about 1500 of them on a laptop. What's my best option here. I am actually a DJ, but I am going to be offering Karaoke with my services. I would like to just open the laptop, connect it to my mixer, and run the karaoke from the laptop.

3 questions...

1. Should I convert the mp3+g to something else that would be better? I would like to get them out of the zip format and into something of a single file.

2. Is hoster the way to go if I do convert or even if I don't?

3. Will hoster let me put the files in a directory, and allow a user to search the files via an atrist or song name? Or is this something I need to do manually?
