Does Hoster Appear To Be Fully Compatible With Windows 8?

I am currently using Hoster quite successfully with Win7 and on a back up laptop running Vista. My Win 7 machine may be sick and it may be cost effective to replace it, but I am having a hard time finding windows 7 laptops. Can I migrate to Windows 8 in good confidence with no bugs? I am a full time KJ so this is important to my bread and butter. Thanks!!

As not many of us have tried Windows 8 I can only point you to these threads on the subject:
http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?...hlight=windows

Also follow the thread in post #2. then MTU reply #13 of that thread.

What problems are you getting with your Windows 7 computer ?

Re: Does Hoster Appear To Be Fully Compatible With Windows 8?

One other question...when I get a new machine, I dutifully follow the MTU instructions for prepping the machine. I looked on the website and see instructions for prepping 7, Vista and XP but not 8.

Should I prep the 8 machine as close to the 7 instructions as possible, or is there a page for Windows 8 prep that I missed? THANKS!

I may just bite the bullet and get an 8 machine.

From the couple people i've talked with that has Win 8 and Hoster, they claim everything works as it is supposed to. Set up for Win 7. Only thing is an error pops up when it opens, click ok and all is good.

Is the error message from Hoster?
If so is MTU aware and working on the solution do you think?

I just ordered a new laptop to and it comes with Windows 8.
The other laptops I use are Windows 7 and I used the recommended changes as per MTU and all works ok.
So I'll use the setting changes with the new Windows 8 machine too.
I've seen some post that it was said the there was a problem with the UAC changes, but I think maybe that the recommended setting for Win7 should work.

According to Post #13 in this thread:
http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?...hlight=windows

The UAC problem was sorted with the latest version.
Not having Windows 8 myself I can't tell you anymore other than that there does not seem to be any other problems.
