Ernie, they said they would try to get them out by the 5th, not that they would always be able to do so. Be glad you are getting what you are and for free.
MTU staff has been short handed for over a month now and will continue to be so for a lot longer due to medical problems. That is all I will say about it.

Dale,
Exactly what they said is... Hoster is updated by the 5th of the month with our latest FREE Import (Bucket.mdb) Database. Download and install the latest version monthly.

As I said this is not going to be on time for a while because they are short-handed. Sorry if that is causing you problems, but it can't be helped right now. Considering that we didn't get any updates for 3-4 years this is a big improvement.

I don't know what you mean by, I just type'em in. I think their products can't be beat, but they are never ON TIME for anything. And I have been with them alot of years. There are still alot of functions we are waiting for on Hoster 4. They are alot like Microsoft. You get the initial program, and little by little you get additions, which could take months or years to get. I like the fact that they are updating the music each month but I still wish they had a print out of the songs and artist you could get.

CYa,
Ernie

Ernie, those additions you are referring to are not as easy as it is to write a request for new features. It may sound easy but not only does the programmer have to write the code for a feature, but it has to be integrated into the existing program code without causing problems. That is why Microsoft and all companies that right programs have beta testing to make sure everything works after adding the new code. This whole process takes time and if something is found during testing then the programmer has to go back and figure out why it isn't working right and how to fix it so it does work and that adds time. There a lot of manhours put into some of the simplest sounding requests.
I know you are not going to understand any of this but that is just the "nature of the beast." If you do not work in the IT industry then you have no idea what it takes to put out usable, working programs without bugs.
I believe we had the conversation earlier about a printout of available songs and artists. MTU does not use updates from any of the producers to update the "Bucket" so would not have access to what you are wanting. The updates added into the "Bucket" each month are coming from us (the users). Since these updates will be a month behind then those who buy as soon as a new CDG comes out are going to have to type in the information. Those who wait until the next "Bucket" update will find those songs already in the list.

If it's not in the Bucket, I just manually type in the info..... Done it countless times and it doesn't bother me. I have other issues in my life that are more important to worry about. HOSTER STILL ROCKS!
