Hoster and Wireless S Video Signal

Does anyone run Hoster over a wireless S Video transmitter to their TV's & monitors? Hows the quality? I was thinking of purchasing three or four MuxLab VideoEase 500016 units. I think this would save about two or three hours of laying cable through out the club. How is the quality of these little units? is the color graphis of hoster supported well over wireless? George

George I hate to tell you this but that is not a wireless system. It is a way to allow you to use unshielded twisted pair wire (cheaper) to run your SVideo to distant TVs. A "Balun" is like a transformer used to block out unwanted signal (noise) from the cheap wire to prevent that noise from entering the TV. Since that wire is not shielded then it will pick up extraneous noise from florescent lights, etc. This prevents those noises from showing on the screen.
There are wireless systems available but you won't find one that cheap. I have used wireless speakers but not for Karaoke and was less than please with them, but that was several years ago.

Hi, there are many video sender devices here in the UK, most use composit RCA, they are getting very cheap hear because of our love with CCTV. I Have tried using a Phillips Video sender but found that is very suseptable to interference from other devices such as wireless networks, UHF radio mics. The picture used to jump every time a large number of people got in the way of line of sight if you see what i mean. This was about 2 years ago so perhaps they have improved a lot. The ones made for wireless ctv seam better but they are often used with low output cameras so you might find the picture over saturated with the output from your computer and they are often limited to 4.3 ratio.
Also the sender and receiver shoul be plugged into the same ring main or interferance tends to be worse.

ok, boy i sure am glad you guys told me this, i was under the impression this was a "Wireless" system. I thought i could get out from running all the coax. I currently have a splitter from my computer SVideo out. I run a 50FT SVideo 4 pin din cable to the singer monitor, and the other side to a Monster Connect All 2000. Then it is ran on RG6 to a splitter and 3 other TV's. This system works fine, i was just hoping to find a cheap wireless system is all. I have to run every inch of RG6 through out the club. They want it up high, and away from customers. Just a pain is all.... George

Try this site, I use simular units. I never run wire and have never had a problem
