Does Not Detect CD/DVD Drive

On my desktop (HP Smart Touch IQ770)Microstudio does detect my internal and external cd/dvd drives but Hoster does not.

On my laptop HP DV7 neither Hoster nor Microstudio detects that I have an internal or external cd/DVD drive.

I have a karaoke disk inserted and it is not detected.

Any ideas? Thanks.

are you running a full version of hoster and microstudio ? or a demo version. sometimes hoster demo doesn't /can't find the cd/dvd drives,
once you inserted a disc on the drive, left click and open it and see if it is able to read the disc..

Thanks Beavis and billyo but yes I have tried to detect using the tool menu and I am running the full and current versions of Microstudio and Hoster. I really think it is Vista and was hoping someone else had a workaround for this. Am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit SP1 on the Touch Smart and Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 on the laptop.

did you just do an upgrade from a prior version of hoster?, if you did youre supposed to do all the vista changes, and downloaded all the custom updates, if you didnt do all the changes, uninstall the upgraded version, do all the necessary vista changes and do all the custom updates, then re-install hoster 4.06 back..

MimiLee,
Do the drives show in the CD/DVD window or do they not show at all?
What make and model are the drives?
Do you have Roxio or Nero software on the computer?
