Question Hoster Software

I recently bought the full hoster software, just this evening completed importing all my Karaoke Songs, registered on MTU and saw a posting not to run the version 3.319 - This posting was dated Feb.2008 I bought my software May 2008 , if this is what I have why was I sold this version? I am not that savy with the software yet, have questions thats why I logged on here, printed the manual, what a lot of reading I have, love the set up so far, this only for home use. I just noticed after finishing importing the last disc that when I went to prepare my songbook it stated I had 864 ( I know not many, but enough for me) and would print the songbook with 860 songs, where did the 4 songs go?

Hi, and welcome to the Hoster family.

You most likely have version 3.321, when you have hoster opened on your screen, click on the tab that says "help", and when the drop down list shows; click on "about hoster", and that will tell you the version for sure.

I'm not sure about the book printing question, as I don't print my books from hoster, but I can guarantee someone that does will come on and help you with that tomorrow.

Bryant answered you first question, so I will try to answer the second one. First off the count you see in the Songbook dialog window is the "New Release (read imports) Count." Anytime you "Create" a songbook this counter is reset. Hoster doesn't actually "print" the songbook, but creates a file you can print.
I am thinking you may have had those numbers backwards, as in the counter listing 860 and the book created had 864 entries meaning you have 4 files that were no longer added to the "New" count. The only way to tell is to "rebuild" the database or to create the songbook again.

Just have a silly question, if you live somewhere past nowhere...How do you get people to attend your shows. And let me know where, sometimes I am in TX on business, even down south and west Texas..

The locals know where we are, but the outside world doesn't....and we kind of like it that way. Actually the saying started from a country store here that printed up a bunch of T-shirts that said "Where the heck is Romayer Texas??" Ace is about 5 miles past Romayer.
We are in East Texas about 70 miles north of Houston. Ace is a very small unincorporated town with no government. We do have a Post Office with our own zip code, but to use it you have to have a box at the Post Office otherwise your mailing address is listed as Livingston.
We don't have a current regular show but just fill in at the local VFW when we are needed. The couple who do that show regularly are going to retire soon and then we will be doing weekly shows.

I used to work out of Houston back in the early 80's. I did a construction job in the area you are describing. Aren't all the streets named after Grand Ole' Opry people or some such?

Actually they are all named after all country singer legends not just Grand Ole' Opry. The sub-division is called Wild Country.

I just remember Minnie Pearl and Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys. Now I'm going to have "Take Me Back to Tulsa" creeping through my head all day

Well That's sounds a little like my situation here in VA, I am in Hiatus till September, and the only gigs I get are parties and Wedding receptions. The only semi regular show I have is at the American Legions around the area.

Want to know how many songs you have it is simple. Go to the file your kma files are in and click properties.
