Same happened to me (once so far)
5.5 - P4 - XP pro, at the moment using 1 40 gig ATA100 drive split in half C: D: NTFS (it's enough for us on this system).
Exactly as you described. Locked up when saving a wave. Meter at 100%. blah blah~ Rebooted and found that the save wave existed and in perfec knick.
Lots of other observations that have come to light with 5.5 and I was told to post here: The EQ doesnt work at all - Screen slower than the audio etc.. But I will rummige the board a bit more, make sure I have not missed anything before I speel.
