You May Have An Ethernet Card And Not Know It

There are times when reading the requirements for installing Kpro, that the mention of an ethernet card creats confusion, and admittedly I was one of those.

You may already have an ethernet card and not know it. There are three easy ways to determine if you already have an ethernet card and not realize it.

An ethernet card is more commonly known as a network card. If you have two pc's networked together for easy file sharing like I do, you have an ethernet card.

If you have DSL or Cable (RoadRunner) high speed internet service instead of dial up modem, you have an ethernet card, as the DSL and Cable modems require this card.

If you have neither of the above, but you have a late model pc you may still have an ethernet card, either as a separate piece of hardware, or built onto the motherboard. You don't have to tear into the pc to find that out. Just take a look at the back of the pc. If there is an oversized telephone jack looking gizmo there, with an LED light next to it, that is probably an ethernet card.
Hope this helps someone out along the way.
