Bryant, given your level of "Expertese" with the hardware
(judging from your questions) I would recommend you get some local help with this. If we tell you open the case and do something and it doesn't work or you make it worse then you'll be mad at us.
Better to have someone who can actually see the problem and who knows how to fix it over somebody 1500 miles away trying to tell you what to do on this. With the programs we can try to duplicate your problem and come up with a solution or recommendation to fix it, but with the hardware part we would be shooting in the dark.
