3.001 is now available to all who own 3.000, and being delived in new orders. 
However... YOUR STORE ACCOUNT DOWNLOAD LINK will NOT deliver 3.001. Don't ask why.... it won't.
You should have received an email yesteday that contains a download link to get 3.001. It is good through the end of November.
Download it IMMEDIATELY and save it on a CDROM. It will NOT be available on-line for upgrade after November.
Microstudio plays ZIP files and to my knowledge allows adding them to the Write Tracks List to burn to either a CDG or CDDA format disc. I personally didn't test it (and can't right now), but I BELIEVE ZIPs can be added to the Write Track List in 3.001. Try it.
Are you wanting Microstudio to write some other format disc than CDG or CDDA? If so, what is it you want?
