If you don't reinstall .NET FRAMEWORK, any further efforts to solve the problem will be fruitless, as it is a requirement.
Just curious. Have you tried opening the program direct from Microstudio.exe in the Microstudio folder?
c:\Program files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Microstudio\Microstudio.exe
Just wondering if there's a glitch in the shortcut...probably not, would be too simple, but who knows.
