Vince, I know I'm a little late to the party, but I was reading over your posts and noticed something. You had said you tried the drive on a second computer. Do you also have Pinnacle Studio on the other machine? Roxio, Nero, and Pinnacle have a nasty habit of taking over your CD/DVD burner and not playing nice with others. I will refer you to this post
