This is a problem with the Yamaha drives. We used these drives up until the Yamaha 8432 when their CD+G format did not work correctly. We tried to work with them to fix their problem, but they were not interested. We then had to find other drives that the CD+G format did work on, it seems the only one that we now test and certify is Plextor drives. You can find our CDG certified drives at

There is no way to make the Yamaha work correctly with CD+G in our software.
