Many of the lower cost (i.e. low reflective coating) CDR discs will NOT read properly in some CDG players. Don't want to sound commercial, but the MTU Silver CDR discs are the ideal media for CDG players.
Also, do NOT use a CDRW disc. There are very few CDG players that will even read this media.
ONLY USE CDR media!
