No....I've uninstalled and/or removed any unrelated programs. My thoughts lean toward something Toshiba preloads before shipping. The crazy thing is.... I loaded another 40 disc without a glitch since I reinstalled the drive. So maybe whatever creates the problem doesn't run all the time
