Which version of DirectX are you running? Microstudio requires DirectX 9.0b .
If you're not sure how to tell, Click RUN, then type in DXDIAG, and click OK.
Near the bottom of the first page that pops up, it will tell you which version you're running.
If you need to upgrade DIRECTX go to the Microsoft website, look in downloads, and get the one for your operating system.It's free.
