This is one of the only drives by Plextor that doesn't support the CD+G format. It is listed in our post of drives that won't work, which is located at:

It will work with other software to do a complete duplicate of a disc, but there is no way to make it work with our software to remove one track at a time or actually play back from. You can check the specs on Plextor's site and it states that it doesn't support the CD+G format also. There is no way to make it work, without replacing the drive.
Plextor didn't make this drive Ricoh did, Plextor just marketed this model. This is why it won't work.
The Plextor PX-W 708 drives were made by Plextor and will work correctly for supporting the CD+G format.
