This may be a silly question. Are you sure you are installing the correct version of Kpro? I am asking because you, as a KPro beta tester, may have different versions scattered all over.
One of the problems you are reporting
(a 20 minutes long song) first appeared on KHpro beta version 4.0b1 and remained a problem until it was fixed on beta 4.004.
The Install Shield did not change until beta 4.006 where the name was changed from KHPro to Kpro and the MACID requirement was added.
I cannot see where you can install Kpro 4.008 using a KHPro serial number. I don't think it'll work at all.

This also is not your problem as KProID will
always generate the same MACID for a particular network card as the number is unique to that card.
Could you please double check your installation files again to make sure you are trying to install KPro 4.008?
