Re: microphone does not work in Hoster.....

What are you trying to do, Record your voice or hear yourself sing along with the music ?

Hoster is not designed to record or singalong direct from the internal soundcard, 1 issue would be latency, you would hear your voice later so would be slightly out of sync with the music.

Hoster is intended to be used with an external mixer to properly mix the mic with the audio.

That’s not to say you can’t use a mic with Hoster.
You would need to open your sound card settings recording tab.
If you have the speaker icon on taskbar showing right click on it brings up a menu. Select recording device (your mic)from the list available, and make it the default recording device. with it Highlighted select properties, adjust levels in this dialog, you will likely have to use Boost as well. If you need to hear it in real time select the Listen tab and tick the box in that then apply you should then be able to hear yourself talking into it. toggle between levels tab to adjust level.
The result of live mix with Hoster wont be very satisfactory though.
