I figured it out. There was one box that needed to be checked that I was not updating but installing the software new. So that finally worked. I was able to install. Now I just purchased an external USB drive to burn cds since my internal laptop cd/dvd does not work with Microstudio. It is all finally coming together and I can use my mac.... yay! Thanks!
