MTU is very understanding when it comes to difficulties with software and the like. I know that the company happens to be closed for the long weekend. But if you contact them regarding the inability to use the coupon before it expires, I'd bet they will most likely be able to extend it for you.
Interestingly, I'm doing conversions of SMALL batches of files, say 100-500 at a time, and it has NOT crashed on me since I started this method...!!! Being a former software developer, I'm thinking that this MAY help point MTU to what's causing the error... at least for my method of conversions.
