Just a thought.
I have had some awfully dirty discs that I have tried to record from, notably a well used "Blues Brothers", badly scratched and in the worse possible condition.
I cleaned this up with "Disc Doctor" from Dixons and managed to get a clean usable copy onto the hard disc, once there it is permanently usable.
If you say your discs are "dirty" anything that will help without re-buying the discs is acceptable.
