Barry, run the DXDIAG.EXE program described in the Microstudio Tech Support Forum and email it as instructed.
Mitsui media can be bought from 2 vendors we know and use. The are listed at:
http://mtu.com/basics/cd-topics-suppliers.htm in this site. At this time, I would suspect your media.
