This will also help for those using Windows 7 and the current version 4.11. The key here is Windows 7 has a codec for MP4 in its WMP (version 12) but they are locked for use only in that program and ITunes.
By installing the K-Lite Codecs Pack then you circumvent that problem for MP4 playing in any other program.
