I need something that is window 7 specific.
The link has been rewritten to include the Windows 7 locations where it is different from Vista. Go through it again.

Then you are talking about importing a single track from a singer's personal disc (using the "Disc button) and not importing whole CDs through the "Import CD Tracks" tool for adding them to your songs database. Correct?
As far as the going into Edit Songs tool, this cannot be used when you are playing music, has been this for a long time, and is greyed out so you can't do it. Several functions are greyed out during play, including Show Display, Audio Controls, Edit Songs, Songs Database, CD/DVD Drives, Remove Silence, Options and both Import Songs utilities. This is to keep you from over-taxing the computer while playing.

I don't know where it was to begin with.
I am not sure why this had to happen as no one else had to do it this way. If double click will not move it, then just drag it over and resize it to fill the screen. I would put it back to compatible with Windows 7.

I would first re-install as Mark suggested. To do this all you have to do is run again the Setup file you downloaded from MTU to install initially.
No you will not lose your songs. None of the song files or the database files are touched during reinstallation.
