It seems there is never one. Everyone talks about all the illegal download sites or companies that you buy disks from. I wish there was a web site that you could go to that had a list of legal resellers. Even then they may not stay legal so I think you just have to do the best you can. I guess this means that you can only buy disks of the manufacturers such as Soundchoice or Chartbuster. You can buy custom disks if you want to pay $5.00 a piece for them. I'd rather buy a whole disk and have duplicates. I will not pay $5.00 a piece for a single song. I bought singles online from ******. They were $1.00 to $1.49 a piece which I thought was not bad. It seemed to be about what you would pay per song for a whole disk. I checked around and asked if everyone thought they were legal and all I got was yes's. Now everyone is saying they are not legal so I guess I'm not strickly legal. I paid my money now I have songs which appear to not be legal. I guess the right thing to do would be to delete these songs but all I have is hearsay to go on. Where are the karaoke police? I've heard that even Chartbuster has at times not paid their royalties. That makes them illegal doesn't it? You just have to do the best you can. Don't buy from the ones you know are illegal and when you find out someone you bought from is illegal, don't buy from them until you know they are legal. Otherwise you can just drive yourself crazy. I can prove that I've paid for every single song I have. Except for the downloaded ones, I have every single original disk. I also have duplicates that I play from if I have to. That is my right as I understand it and it is unreasonable to ask me to send my scratched disk in for a new one and wait until it comes back before I can use it again. At any rate I guess I'm done on this one. I'ts not going to serve any useful purpose to just keep it going.
