15 what? (1525,1526, etc.)? If you let me know what that is then I can look it up on Dell's site and get pictures of the laptop to look for outputs.
Also there has to be some type of output plug on the laptop to send the Secondary Monitor to a TV or full size computer monitor. Are you sure that RS232 isn't actually a VGA output? Without an output of some type this laptop will not be able to hook-up to a TV at all.

This may be a factor in how well this works, but first you have to be able to hook up.
Your audio is no problem. you will need a cable with an 1/8" plug to either a 1/4" plug or to RCA plugs (Left and Right channels. The easiest and best would be the 1/4 plug since you only need one. Be sure that both are Stereo plugs and not Mono.
