I have had a look through the forums but so far I haven't come across a similar issue that I had. Just b4 a gig this week I was importing a new disc into hoster when the laptop shutdown. I reopened it but it came up with a error message saying that it couldn't read a file in C:\Documents and settings... databases\songs.mdb. I tried to search for a song but it came up with the same msg. I am not really that computer savy so it took me about 30mins but I worked out that Hoster has a backup 'songs.mdb'

so I renamed the 'songs.mdb' 'oldsongs.mdb' & changed the backup file to 'songs.mdb'. This worked perfectly.
When I got home I started the laptop so that I could change the files back to check the error message in this forum but it appears to have reset itself to 'songs.mdp' & 'songs_backup.mdb' & there is no error message.
Can anybody tell me what happened & is what I did the best way to fix the problem. My issue is, I hire staff sometimes to run my gigs & they are less savy than me so if this happens to them they will probably just shut down & go home.
