A couple of people have reported trying IE8 and had some problems with it, so until MTU has a chance to try it with Hoster I would recommend backing down to IE7. I don't know if that would effect the database or not but I wouldn't think so.
It sounds like Vista is hiding the songs from 3.4. What is the location of the KMA files?
Also make sure that the KMA files are not Read Only. If they are then 4.08 will work but 3.4 won't.

it came with hosterlite, and i did a shortcut on the desktop, kma files are on ext. drive, she has xp, i tried adding a song on 3.4 ( as a singers disc), and it played, hosterlite 4.8 all the songs came up, but wont show up on 3.4, i thought it would...still trying to figure this out ( work on this till 3am and i'm trying to get it done for they have a show tonight ) (
FYI: i'm not getting paid for this
