This is a good point and makes sense since it is a demo with restrictions, but I'm not sure. I also have never used the demo.
One thing, if this is the case I would think Dale would have mentioned it.
Have you tried to burn a disc using the some of the 50 KMA files that came up? Being you are using the demo they won't be complete songs anyway so give it a try and see if your burner works.
