The imported song is held in a temp file, along with sharing memory space with the program. If the memory gets full and has to swap to the hard drive at some point, you can see errors like this. The higher the quality setting, the more memory the song takes up. That is why my first suggestion was to lower the quality. Also, with a higher quality setting, it bangs on the import drive more rigorously, causing these same kind of issues.
