Jim mis-stated something early in this thread. When you import Zip files in Hoster it does not convert them to HDBIN. It converts them to MP3+G. Actually it is unzipping the files inside which would be 2 files, one MP3 and one CDG both having the same exact file name.
So if you are going to use Songverter to convert your files don't change them to BIN files, but convert them to MP3+G. BIN files are full size uncompressed files which are huge. MP3 +G are much smaller compressed files and won't eat up your hard drive. And since you zip files contain the two files already in this format the conversion will go much faster.
You asked should you remove the Brand, DiskID and Track number from your file names, I say no, because this will make them easier to import with less information for you to enter.
I think where you problem is with that many files in one folder is you should be using Batch instead of Single for the import. That way it will look for your Brand, DiskID and Track information in the file names.
