I think you are in dangerous territory here. I have been doing this stuff for 40+ years and I still cringe if I have to open up a laptop. Your best bet would be to take it to a professional and ask them to clean it and check it out. It may cost you a bit but it will be a small price compared to having to replace the laptop because you messed it up.
