I have installed all the custom updates...and have done all this in the past too. I don't understand why it doesn't work and keeps shutting down.

To make a point. The other night we had our regular get together of DJ's....there are five of us. We have 2-hps, 1-del, one gateway, and 1-compaq. We all experience the same error shut down trying to "add files".
so, needless to say I'm not the only one. Like I said earlier
I went through all this a year ago with and earlier ver of Hoster.

I even tried to convert my kma files to bin (zip or mp3+g) and Songverter fails and errors out on me.

I was thinking about getting a backup laptop but now I'm not sure I should use Hoster on it. I'm reading all these horror stories of people using Vista. All the new laptops are preloaded with vista so what can a person do?

I look at the cost of buying a laptop from MTU and find the price simply rediculous. The price of laptops out there have dropped considerably.

I have run a registry cleaner along with removing the junk files. I do it all.
To repeat myself this is a new HD on thei machine and just reinstalled XP and Hoster and left off all the other apps, I use for other things.

I'm really disappointed.

I wasn't even going to respond to DDouglass' reply to my original post. It just seems to be a real waste of time.

Getting back to our group of DJs one machine is brand new....and still Hoster craps out when trying to "add" files.

I have always recomended MTU products and other then DDouglass everyone I know has problems.

I've said enough for now...thanks for trying.
