After I cut and paste the correct information for this disc from the company that made the CDG, Hoster then changes the ID to one that is incorrect. This is why I have and always double check then manually input this information when needed. If MTU is asking the end user to hope that whomever entered the information in first "got it right" and does not leave users like myself a manual way to correct errors, that is chaos in the making. I would rather have (2) choices on the list and pick the correct one, than only (1) that is incorrect.
This is what I am trying to say, Many of the ID's are already wrong, and I want the correct ID's for my list. Hoster keeps changing the ID to something that is not correct.
I gave an example above...
I drop in PHM0806 and hoster keeps changing this to PHM0806N.
Furthermore, there is no PHM0806N. It does not even exist. The correct discID in this instance above would be PHM0806 and if you were trying to add the country disc then the correct ID is PHN0806 not PHM0806N. In either case, hoster is getting it wrong on both of these.
It is far faster to cut and paste the "correct" information off the internet, than to fight with Hoster and get it to understand someone has put in the wrong data. (This is also why having left and right clicks backwards is an annoyance, but I guess I can deal with that) Often artists & song titles both appear in the song title area for example when you let hoster look for the information, or artists are listed by first name first instead of last names and these are just 2 examples. I will grant you this can (when the information is correct) speed things up some, but you still have to double check the info everytime because it is wrong so often, especially on newer cd's. For those that like to trust this feature (and are not concerned if the information is accurate or not) the option is there. But there should be a way to tell hoster, NO, I want my book to have "the correct discID" and turn this off.
Dale, you are very helpful to the people in the MTU community. Everyone is very greatful for what you do. You are a book of information when it comes to most aspects of Hoster. However, when it come to the little things and details you tend to blow them off or lack understanding about how attention to small detail is important. You seem to shoot down things before you fully understand them. This is frustrating for a user like myself who is trying to comminuicate with someone at MTU. I do appreciate you taking the time to read my post, but my intention was to get the attention of someone who works for MTU so that they might be able to fix some of the little bugs, unless you really do work for hoster, then I apologize.

I'm sorry you feel that way. The biggest problem is most people in here expect you to solve there problem with limited information given.
You can (and I have) forced Hoster to use the "correct" DiskID. Wait until you have all the other information in place and then correct the DiskID.
MTU has very little time to peruse the forums right now, so we (Mindonstrike, Madjim, Marklwood, myself and others try to answer your questions). If we can't or it is something that needs to be fixed by MTU then we pass it on to them.
I see this as a problem yes but it can be forced to use the data you enter. I will pass this on to MTU so they can take a look at it and see what can be done to make it easier. The idea of adding the auto-complete was to try to make things easier for us, but apparently it is too persistent.
