I remember those days also! And how about having to fast forward & reverse to find the song you were looking for. And changing the key actually speeded up or slowed down the tape I never got lasers - too heavy for me! I did rent a laser machine & disks once and hooked it up to my VCR. Probably wasn't legal, but I never thought of that then. I just put kids songs on the tapes so I could entertain at kids' parties. That way all I had to do was to pop into their VCR and the kids could sing along and learn to read at the same time.
